Thailand began to ease their national lockdown on May 3. And throughout the following 10 days, as most of us expected, online retail orders started to drop.

But we can this drop has stabilized — the growth of online orders is maintaining around +40% compared to previous year numbers. Similarly, the number of orders coming from pure play e-commerce is also stabilizing at +35%.

All these numbers can actually prove how the COVID-19 lockdown period has impacted customer shopping behavior, and pushed more shoppers to purchase online. Pure-play retailers will need to focus their online strategies and capabilities ASAP.
